I'm baaaaaaack. Like, hopefully really back. The problem was that my camera charger is gone. I think forever. And, sure, I could just wander over to the battery store and buy a new one, but that takes effort, and that sounds gross. So, for a quick fix, I am currently using my old Kodak camera until I can muster up the energy to go buy a new battery. So, until then, enjoy these kind of grainy but still super cute outfit photos. Yep, that's about right.

Okay, now I'm going to get real with you guys for a second. My hair is pink. Like, pink, pink. And I love it. What do you all think? The purple was okay, but I really, really love this pink. Expect it for a while, because I'm not letting it go anywhere.

I really missed posting here, and one of my resolutions in 2015 is to start posting more regularly, so I'm going to do just that. I'm going to start with Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Tuesdays being "Try This Tuesday" and Thursdays being an outfit from my own mind. I'm super excited to start this blog back up. Let me know what you think about my hair in the comments!

First of all, did I not already improve on my posing? I told you guys that it's all about being in the swing of things!

Anyway, I was looking through my post drafts and found one that was going to be my first new post when I reopened this blog and it was, believe it or not, a youtube video! It was of me explaining all about m new style and the new, darker kinds of clothes I was going to be wearing, but then I look at outfits like this, and I think "what was I thinking in that video?" There are definitely times when my style will differ to be darker, but there will be times when it looks like this as well. I've since deleted that video and moved on to just showcasing how I love to dress and, hopefully, what you love to see. Cheers to self-understanding.

So... I'm blonde. Surprise! I bet you weren't expecting that! It's been a long time coming, but I absolutely love the color, and I'm so glad to call myself a part of the blonde club. It's still weird for me sometimes, like looking up and just seeing my head full of blonde hair. I'm not 100% used to it... it's just... weird.

I'm also getting better at posing for photographs! Hooray! Maybe I won't look as awkward with my limbs as I usually do. You be the judge (#stillawk).

I'm excited to get posting again. I absolutely missed the blogging life and am so excited to be back!

Happy Closet Remix Challenge day 8!

So it looks like I won't have my computer for the next week or two, so please excuse any late posts / poorly editted ones. I'm doing what I can with what I have. I will be posting, though, so I hope you enjoy it! I can guarantee this will probably be my last #CRC post for this challenge... it was fun while I did it!

bundle up

With temperatures in the low twenties, teens, and even below zero sweeping the nation, it's important to wear super warm clothing in order to keep at a normal temperature and stay safe. But who's to say you can't do it in style? The first look I paired is very simple, but with a lot of elements that make it exciting. While the sweater is a neutral, the necklace piece adds a bit of sparkle. The leather finish of the pants do the same to boring black pants. The chambray shirt beneath the sweater and low black boots make the outfit polished. Finally, the military green jacket (that is so in right now!) has a furry hood for extra warmth and comfort. While this outfit is a bit dark, I kind of adore it. A simple black sweater dress or tunic with a nice, dark colored plaid layered beneath it keeps your torso warm. With a pair of fleece lined leggings (they're real, and beautiful) your body will be cozy all day. A nice set of pearls will add the bit of sparkle to make the outfit shine, and some high boots, heeled or not, ensure maximum foot warmth. The last look is absolutely my favorite. If you haven't noticed a trend yet, I tend to favor neutrals during the winter months. When putting this one together, I wanted it to consist of pieces I could grab with twenty minutes to go and still be cute and warm. Start with a nice pair of dark jeans and a neutral sweater, top with a nice, flow-y cardigan-y sweater, and add a nice dark scarf for a pop of winter color. Finally, a pair of short brown boots with some sparkly hardware makes the outfit beyond average.

With the chilling temperatures, being warm and safe is of utmost importance. Being stylish, though? Always an option.

How do you like to bundle up in style in the cold winter months?

Apple picking is my favorite part of the entire year, mostly because it means that autumn is right around the corner. This year promised nothing less, what with cool air and lots of apples to be picked, I could feel the fall in the air, and, oh, how excited I got! Now I have four bags of apples and two gallons of apple cider to remind me of the yearly trip. They should probably last me about, uh, two weeks. Have I mentioned I love apples?

While we were upstate I also got the opportunity to see my sister graduate for intermediate honors, meaning she's been spending a heck of a lot of time in class. I both envy he work ethic and wonder how she still has time to have fun in college, yet I know she can still balance it. A post of photos I took in Charlottesville will be up soon. Prepare to feel the magic of the coming season!
